There are dorsal, ventral, lateral, and sagittal views; serial cross sections and dissections showing major structures and fiber tracts. The manual also contains three appendices. Appendix one contains labeled photographs of common laboratory animals: rat, cat, and rhesus monkey. Appendix two contains photomicrographs with accompanying text of selected parts of the nervous system and of sense organs. Appendix three contains a series of schematic diagrams, with accompanying text, illustrating important brain circuits.
